DX10 Fixer Produces Black Screens

Featured Replies

Not sure why but after uninstalling and reinstalling FSX, DX10 fixer no longer works. Was working fine yesterday until I had to uninstall flightsim. Today I reinstalled FSX Steam and tried using the controller, except every time I try to switch on DX10 Fixer, my fullscreen or windowed screen is completely black.. I need help!

No worries, glad its fixed.

You should uninstall the libraries before reinstalling FSX.

Usually such scenarios can be fixed by uninstalling and reinstalling the libraries  or by forcing a rebuild of the shaders (DX10 Controller->debug and press apply.)  rather than a full uninstall/install of the product.

Hi Steve, Yea that actually worked better. I had to do yet ANOTHER reinstall of FSX for some mysterious crashes that were happening and I encountered the problem again with the black screen. Sure enough, uninstalling and reinstalling the libraries in the Fixer worked like a charm. Thanks!
