May 19, 20179 yr I have been reading just about everything I can, from Steam to all of the flight sim forums, in the past few hours. I am SO torn!! The general consensus seems to be that there is no consensus. At worst, it's being called a step backwards or complete garbage, and at best, it's being called a huge leap forward or the next great sim. Overall, the vast majority seem to think it is very, very underwhelming. We are only talking about 30 bucks or so, but.... 1. DCS World has ruined me for performance (60+ fps steady)! 2. Xplane11 has ruined me for night lighting / sloped runways / general graphics enhancements! 3. All current driving/racing simulators have ruined me for performance and graphics! 4. FSX (with over 5 thousand dollars in add ons & years of tuning & tweaking) has ruined me for the potential level of detail of a sim! 5. I have limited SSD space left for questionable "betas"! 6. 27 dollars is 27 dollars! I really want to support a new and potentially good sim, just not sure if this is it ??????!! Oh first world problems! ...Think I'll just keep creeping, reading and lurking for a little while longer! :) 4790k / 16gb / 1080ti / lotsa ssd's / 1440p / TM Warthog & Tflight Pedals

One of the few positive ones unfortunately. I really hate to say it, but the more I read and the more videos that I see, I am seriously thinking about taking a pass on FSW :( It's funny that I will think nothing of dropping over 50 or 70 dollars on a single airplane in DCS, but I'm so hesitant to spend 27 dollars on FSW. It's principle I guess, I really want to feel like I'm getting my money's worth and investing in a platform that I believe in. I guess I'm just not sold on the old "polished" up FSX .......yet!! Fingers crossed for the future 4790k / 16gb / 1080ti / lotsa ssd's / 1440p / TM Warthog & Tflight Pedals
