June 15, 20178 yr Hello everyone. Im finally about to be able to start FSX with a new computer. I do not have any flight controllers anymore. Can you all suggest a decent one for me that has all the functionality of yoke/rudder for a budget of $150? I am not looking for the best and most cutting edge, just the best I can get for 150 or less. Thanks so much!
June 15, 20178 yr I used the Logitech 3D pro for years and they still make and sell it. i use a Yoke now but its a great and a cheap joystick. About US$40 the handle has a twist axis that you use for the rudder. http://m.bestbuy.ca/defaultpage.aspx?lang=en#/catalog/productdetails.aspx?ajax=true&lang=en-ca&pcname=&sku=10034092 Pete Richards I've owned every version of flight simulator since Flight Simulator 3.0 in 1988. June 15, 20178 yr Thrustmaster is making some fairly good items right now (see link) I have the T16000M HOTAS and MFG rudder pedals. The 16000m does have a flappy paddle that you can use for rudders. http://www.thrustmaster.com/en_US/products https://www.amazon.com/Thrustmaster-T-16000M-FCS-HOTAS-Controller/dp/B01KCHPRXA/ref=sr_1_1?s=videogames&ie=UTF8&qid=1497567731&sr=1-1&keywords=thrustmaster+t16000m+fcs+hotas https://www.amazon.com/Thrustmaster-T16000M-FCS-Flight-Pack/dp/B01N2PE8CZ/ref=sr_1_2?s=videogames&ie=UTF8&qid=1497567766&sr=1-2&keywords=thrustmaster+t16000m+fcs+hotas Ryzen 9 7900X, AsRock Taichi B650e, MSI RTX 4070 Ti Super, 32GB G Skill Flare, 850W PSU, 4TB WD 850 SSD, Win 11 Pro, 27" 1440p MSI monitor
June 16, 20178 yr Author Thanks for your help guys! I was assuming it'd probably be one of those two. I'm gonna save my money and get a good CH product setup one day with multi function controls but this will do for now. Years ago when I was into FS9 I used a microsoft sidewinder, it was relatively cheap but a pretty good one. We didnt have as many choices back then anyway.
