I've never had ctd issues in msfs but yesterday I could not even get msfs to make it to the main menu home screen. It boots up, almost makes it and then crashes. I even deleted everything and went with the 4 hours install process. It is still doing the same ctd before the main screen comes up. Is anyone else expierncing this? I have an up-to-date Asus computer with windows 11. Thanks. I'm in a bind.

same here.. I think theyre probably screwing around with stuff to make it more compatible with MSFS 2024

That's good to hear. Well the original plane doesnt have vnav or autothrottle. So I assume thats done through the gtn750 integration.

I'd love to buy this plane. But I'm waiting to see how the updates pan out just for things such as you mention. Curious to see if theyll ever fix it.

No. I have no idea where to begin with something like that. I rarely have any issues at all. This is a first for me. I am currently sending a report to Asobo with some screenshots and information. I dont have anything except payware aircraft and airport sceneries. Again, does not effect Fenix or PMDG. just everything else. So i'm thinking pmdg and fenix had a fix for this. I will let you know if and when Asobo responds with anything to me. I just don't have the time go thru a huge process of elimination moving files around and such.

Yes. I decided to uninstall and reinstall the Comanche also yesterday. Didn't work, the issue still perisists. Its as if the landing lights effects are pointed straight upwards instead of along the plane of the aircraft as they should be. It's weird. I've tried going to the MSFS forums but its such a mess there and I cannot even create a topic there because apparently i'm not popular enough yet with the algorithms. Who knows. It's not just the Comanche, it was the same on the Aerosoft CRJ last night also. Even the logo light was pointed straight up. The light originates between the engine cowlings and points straight up, missing the vertical stabilizer where it's supposed to shine on.

I am currently having an issue with all aircraft except PMDG and Fenix. All other aircraft including A2A Comanche and the Aerosoft CRJ are effected. The issue is that all the external lights from the taxi light, landing lights, even logo light.. Do not illuminate outwards as they used to. You can see them on when you switch to the external views but they do not illuminate the area in front of them. I do not have any lighting or effects mods, haven't changed any config files.. I run Windows 11 on the PC and everything works fine except for this. I am running into a brick wall because I cannot find any other recently publicized information about this. This is some sort of an "effects" issue that has arisen after SU15 I am sure. I notice a lot during the night time hours because that's primarily when I fly the most. Has anyone else noticed this or can test for it?

I've tried this numerous times with numerous different aircraft and it never worked so I just gave up on it. Is there some MSFS setting that would inhibit this key function from working do you think?

That seems to be the only place to purchase it from for what I've seen. I was just bargain hunting to see if it was available anywhere else. It's crazy that amazon will list things like this knowing full well they don't have access to it.

Yea I am aware of the drama surrounding the company and its manufacturers. It was all about the rudder pedals and how he was supposedly screwed over by the whoever was supposedly building them for production. I was just wondering about the availability of the products that have been around for awhile now. It's a word not allowed shame because I have flown (wasnt mine) using the honeycomb yoke and it was way better than what I have now.

Is there a shortage of the honeycomb alpha and bravo products? I have finally decided to upgrade and replace my old saitek controllers and I've always kinda been set on the honeycomb products. Recently I see it all over amazon but you cannot order it because its "unavailable". I havent found satisfactory search online for the reason for this? Can anyone tell me that knows?

Ah Ray I have been away awhile. Yep I got a new PC with windows 11. I only reinstalled all my MSFS stuff as I had it on my old machine. It took about 6 hours total one afternoon. It helps that many addons in the modern era have apps that can install things youve purchased much faster than manually installing them into the program. I have right at 1TB of MSFS and MSFS stuff involved in the program.

I appreciate it guys! This is kinda what I was thinking I just wanted to get some avsim community input. It'll be a long day of loading it onto new pc!

I'm gonnna get a new PC that will have Windows 11 on it. I currently have Windows 10 with MSFS and all my 500 gb of addons. Is there any less painful and time consuming way of getting everything over to the new PC and Windows 11? I have searched and not found a satisfactory solution as most things concern just adding another Drive to the same PC, I get that. Do the files change with WIndows 11 and require a fresh install of everything again?

I hope ill be able to encounter some later this week. During the summer in the southeast of the USA, theyre common but typically very isolated. I dont know if MSFS would be able to replicate that or even have the time to do it before theyre gone (in real life weather).. I passed over a known area of t-storms just a few days ago, guy on vatsim verified it also.. When I flew over it at fl330 it as just higher cloud tops, not thick at all, no lightening visible, no turbulence.

In the case of FSX.. Microsoft abandoned it long before we stopped using it. So 3rd parties were a must. At least with MSFS they have had some updates and improved upon the weather.

We have an interesting group of flight sim consumers these days. We got a whole new generation of simmers who are new and want xbox and to do away with all the C++ oldies and such. Then we have other simmers who are veterans from way back who just expect way better in the year 2023 and are disgruntled to no end. Then you have simmers like me who get to maybe fly a handful of hours a week, been around awhile, and are just happy with whatever we can get! I can see how as a developer that all the negative feedback from numerous outlets can get you run down. I feel for ya!

Last night I had it on real world weather. And in the "real world" there was a decent size t-storm just north of the field. I never saw any lightening or anything else. I took off in msfs in the pmdg 737, I only encountered thick clouds, no noticeable turbulence, no violent shifts in winds. It was pretty uneventful. Who knows if MSFS will ever really improve upon it or if a 3rd party will step in some day. We will see.

I did buy KPHX the other day. I've flown into it twice so far. And I can tell you that you're words are correct. It is a "stutter fest". I have a few other airports from other developers and I have not had this much of an impact on my PC's performance. I was about to see if I could get on their forum for support or tweaking. Right now it is not so good for performance, the model is beautiful and everything is complete. I even knocked all my settings down to the "medium" global rendering. Still stuttered a good bit.

wow man sounds like you wanna play airport ! I used to do all that for a living for about a decade. Had to get out, too many changes, glory days were gone, instability in job security and pay, yada yada. I'd like to see more realistic faults (mechanical and instrumentation) Better weather effects such as with ice and snow As far as all the stuff you mentioned, I could go for that, as long as you had the ability to turn much of it "off" at times when you wanted to.

Well sir I happen to work at place where we sell Samsung, Vizio, LG, and TCL. In my opinion Samsung has the best and most clear 4K pictures. I currently have a VIzio myself, at the time it was all I could afford. Just keep in mind that if you do not have a 4k input, having a 4k tv really doesnt matter. The new SUHD Samsung tv's are pretty awesome. FYI, to save some money, if you have a Costco near where you live, go there. The prices and warranties are better than a BestBuy!

Definitely very sad. I have grown up watching the t-birds and angels since the 80's when I was a kid. As I said on facebook, this is the price that sometimes must be paid for those who push it to the edge and bring us the wonderful sights and sounds we all enjoy, not to mention the skills that defend our country via air power! I read the day after that Captain Kruss stayed with his f-18 until he was clear of civilian population, avoiding bail out the moment he realized his bird was finished. I dont know know to what extent that is true but I wholeheartedly believe that he would do that if that was the case.
