I thought X62 is pretty good (I just bought it).

Yes, my CPU is not delided, I avoid that as it is not quite cheap the CPU.

Just as a side question, what would be a recommendation for a custom water cooling loop only for the CPU? I saw that something from EKWB costs around 400 euros for this CPU (configured as silence &performance).

And perhaps I should reapply new thermal paste, maybe first time I did not put enough.

I made my own custom loop but it was for a 6700K, not sure if would be able to advise you correctly on water blocks for this new CPU socket, the best would be to research on overclokers.net forum, lots of great info there: http://www.overclock.net/f/

I don't use EKWB, I use products from watercool.de, this is my current CPU block: http://shop.watercool.de/HEATKILLER-IV-PRO-INTEL-processor-COPPER-NI/en

Folks - I'm locking this down because we have gone far astray from the OP and into cpu's and cooling, etc which rightly belong in another forum. Lot's of good info in this thread.
