Using add-on Scenery over Photo real (

Featured Replies

I use both ORBX FTX line of products and Austria Pro HD.I switch back and forth depending on the flying I am doing, and I like both.  When using the ORBX Freeware Airport (LOGO) with Austria Pro HD, the underlying photoreal scenery shows in the airport area that is not tarmac.  The alignment of the two products does not match that well, so the imagery of buildings and runway are where grass would normally be.  Is there a way to prevent the photoreal imagery from showing in the airport scenery and just use the ground textures? maybe some sort of mask?  I am new to photoreal,

You could try going through the scenery folder of the add-on and temporarily de-activate them by renaming them.  It's a hit-n-miss if it will work.  Just look for the largest size files.  Those are usually the photoreal files.

Intel i9-12900KF, Asus Prime Z690-A MB, 64GB DDR5 6000 RAM, (3) SK hynix M.2 SSD (2TB ea.), 16TB Seagate HDD, Gigabyte GeForce 5080 RTX, Corsair iCUE H70i AIO Liquid Cooler, UHD/Blu-ray Player/Burner (still have lots of CDs, DVDs!)  Windows 10, (hold off for now on Win11),  EVGA 1300W PSU
Netgear 1Gbps modem & router, (3) 27" 1440 wrap-around displays
Full array of Bravo, Saitek and GoFlight hardware for the cockpit. Varjo and HP VR headsets for mixed reality.

I'm assuming that you've got the scenery priority set - photoreal lower than the add-on airport?

I believe Scruffyduck's Airport Design Editor (ADE) can create a mask which overlays any scenery below the airport.

Is there any support from ORBX despite the airport being freeware?
