Does your system have integrated graphics as well as the discrete GPU? If so, make sure that the integrated graphics are definitely disabled in the BIOS.

in the NVIDA system panel thingy i set fsx to only play with 980m....is that what you mean??

Jordan Wheeler

No, you need to acces BIOS menu on system startup and set it there. I don't know which motherboard you have, on my asus MB i need to keep pressing "delete" key on startup to acces BIOS. Then in BIOS menu: BIOS > Advanced > System Agent Configuration > Graphics Configuration > Primary Display > PCIE (instead of iGPU or Auto)

Okay, so i just did it delete worked for me as well but when i went to advance i didn't see System Agent Configuration

its not there...

i have a ASUS G751JY if that helps?

Ok, now i saw that's the laptop. I belive igpu is disabled in BIOS by asus on your PC. To deal with this issue, you should update BIOS, completely unistall graphics driver and reinstall it and rebuild fsx shader cache and fsx.cfg. That helped some other people
