July 28, 20178 yr United is flying the last ever domestic 747 trip tonight. UA 2704 departs ORD at 1830 and arrives SFO at 2051. Flight Aware doesn't show it, it did yesterday, but the UAL website does. I was on the PAA inaugural 747 flt ORD to SNN in window seat 2F and the Capt announced that those seated in rows 1 to 3 etc would arrive before the flight deck crew. On the return 747 trip the Capt announced a fully automated landing at O'hare. Had a meal in the upper deck on one of those trips, if I remember correctly. I've logged many hours on these great planes and am really sorry to see them go. http://www.businessinsider.com/boeing-747-united-retire-chicago-sanfrancisco-flight-2017-7 Bruce
July 29, 20178 yr Shame to see them go, they have vanished from our skies in the Southern Hemisphere with the exception of Cargo and the QANTAS Antarctica Flights http://www.antarcticaflights.com.au/ Matthew Kane I'm Dyslexic, what's an error to you is not to me
