In theory, a RTE file is not platform dependent.  However, I have had problems using RTE file in P3Dv4 saved by the NGX in P3Dv3.  Weird problems like unable to direct to the first waypoint in a departure from the vectors leg.

So, basically I am not expected to ruin anything in an attempt to use files from FSX 744 QOTS-II, am I?

In theory it should work fine. However, PMDG panel states cannot be copied to P3Dv4.
