Problem with GTN 750 and VOXATC?

Recommended Posts

I'm finding that Voxatc is having a problem recognizing frequencies set in the Flight1 GTN 750. Has anyone noticed this? I lightly scanned the manual but nothing caught my eye.

I set up a vfr flight in a non GTN panel a/c and everything went as expected. Tried the same flight in an a/c with the GTN and after I tuned the ATIS frequency - nothing. I never heard the ATC. Eventually got message to tune ground - did so but couldn't communicate.Ultimately aborted the flight. I'll keep playing and see if I can work it out.

Vic

No problems like that here with the GTN 750, P3d V4 and VOXATC 7.4. Does the problem occur with every aircraft?

No problems there. GTN 750/650, P3d V4, VOXATC 7.4, A2A's Texan, Cherokee, Comanche, Connie...

Thanx. I only tried it on the Milviz Cessna 310R but I'll try it with others. Probably try the Comanche. Glad to know it's me - THAT I can fix!

Try it as a pop up gauge with one of the default P3d aircraft, like the Baron.

Manually installed it in Carenado Turbo Commander and it worked fine.

I guess that SimConnect isn't perfect. VOXATC, the aircraft and the GTN gauge are all using it to communicate. Maybe the sim felt left out and lonely.

Could you try something? Try the 310R at a few other default airports and see if you get the same result.

Same issue Jay. For some reason the GTN750/650 in the Milviz310 doesn't communicate. Vox tells me to change freq but never recognizes the change. Use another a/c with the GTN - all is well.

The reason that I'm asking is that it also happened to me but with the RealAir TD and only at a specific airport. I have a feeling that the issue is related to VOXATC and not the GTN.

Vic,

It's unrelated to VOXATC. Somebody the solved the problem:

Interesting.  It "sort of" worked. Now I get the ATIS but during the flight, the GTN 750 locked up and wouldn't communicate. I restarted the GTN and voxatc picked it up and flight completed.
