OK, Gents, thanks for the suggestions.

One more question --- could I take the dedicated WD10,000rpm HD from the old computer, that just houses FSX, and plug it into the new PC? It's 6 years old.

Maurice -- please let me know the outcome! TNX!

I'll be gone fore the next 7-8 days, but I'll check back when I get home.

You could physically install the drive but you'd have to re-install FSX and all of your add-ons because none of the required registry entries would exist on your new system.

Oh well, I thought I would have to re-register the sim, but didn't think I'd have to re-install everything. I guess the registering takes place at the time of installation. It's been quite a long time since I've done that. FSX has been running so well and looks so good, since I installed Steve's DX10 Fixer, I've forgotten most of the finite details.

Thanks!!
