HelloNo you still need your mesh and landclass, GROUND ENVIRONMENT is texture tiles only.Mesh is the Terrain Elevation, Higher LOD = better resolution (mountains, hills ect)Landclass is the classification of the land, it tells FS9 what texture tiles to place in order to best represent the area.Textures which is what GROUND ENVIRONMENT is , these are the graphic tiles (farmland, forest, towns ect) that make up what you see in FS9GE contains no Mesh or Landclass, only textures.Hope this helps

>Should I uninstall any 3rd party mesh and landclass files I>am using before installing Ground Environment?>>Thanks,>GE is a texture, which lies on top of the mesh, so I believe you should not have to uninstall any mesh. I have GE, UTerrain and FS Genesis installed, along with FE and ActiveSky. They all live happily together. You will like GE!!Happy LandingsFlygirl

Hi, Howard Thanks for your reply.I'm just wondering if you're running any weather applications. also, what aircraft you fly most. or VFR, IFR..thanks again.

I run GE, FE,Utraffic, Uterrain, FSG, ActiveSky, and TrackIR with Eaglesofts cirrus in VC full panel. I set FPS at 20 and usually I get between 14 and 19. My settings in FS are around "High", but I put autogen at normal and traffic at 50%. I find AI is the biggist killer of FPS, at least for me. My set up isDell XPS P4 3.21.5 gig ramATI X800 graphics card2 120 sata HD with FS on the second HDI use ENDITAL to stop background programsAnd set my graphics card PCI latency to 32 like the restCheers and happy landingsFlygirl
