August 30, 20178 yr I didn't realize there was a CTD forum so I figured i'd post this here after putting this in the P3d forum. I recently started getting CTD's today and I am not sure why. This happens when loading the sim. Up until today I never got it. Today I installed ASCA and this started happening. I uninstalled it and still get the "P3d has stopped working" message and CTD. I can't tell what is causing this because I am not technical. I checked the log and it said this. Any ideas? I am hoping I don't have to uninstall everything and then install again. August 30, 20178 yr You might want to check your cloud texture sizes in ASCA. I think it defaults to 2084, I rolled my settings back to 512, really don't see a difference in clouds and much easier on the computer. If you run ASP4, try 3 layers and see how that combination works. August 30, 20178 yr Author Ok.. However, right now I uninstalled ASCA and I am still getting the error. Should I install it again and see if the defaults change the error? August 30, 20178 yr I do not know about that issue, but Hi-Fi Simulations (the software author) has a great support forum and I have found they respond very quickly Ryzen 9 7900X, AsRock Taichi B650e, MSI RTX 4070 Ti Super, 32GB G Skill Flare, 850W PSU, 4TB WD 850 SSD, Win 11 Pro, 27" 1440p MSI monitor
August 30, 20178 yr Author OK cool. I'll open a case with them Intel Core i7 12700K (5.0GHz Max Boost Clock) 12-Core CPU 32GB G.Skill Performance DDR4 SDRAM 3600MHz Graphics Processor:12GB Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 Ti, GDDR6x System 2TB Western Digital, NVMe M.2 Solid State Drive
