Since we are on an aviation forum and to address with humor the recurrent behaviors found on the forum, I'm proposing here a checklist for posting on this forum:

 

PRE-POST CHECKLIST:

_ Instroduction manual  .................................. CHECK
_ FCOM, QRH, FCTM (if avail.)  .................... CHECK
_ Forum threads search  ................................ CHECK

• Verify that the issue has not been already discussed before posting on the matter

 

BEFORE POST CHECKLIST:

_ Proper forum/subforum location  .................. CONFIRM
_ Relevant topic title  ....................................... CONFIRM

 

WRITING POST CHECKLIST (BRIEFING):

_ Relevant information  .................................... BRIEF

• Situation (circumstances of the issue...)
• Environment (addons, softwares)
• Systems (Computers, hardwares)
• Procedures (tests done, steps to reproduce)

 

AFTER POST CHECKLIST:

_ Sign post with full names  .............................. CONFIRM

Romain, I don't mind newcomers asking questions that can be answered in the FCOM since these documents are overwhelming at first.  I'll look it up for them and provide the page to point them in the right direction.  The Introduction is a different matter, no excuses for not reading that and flying any available tutorials.

I would add to the checklist "Be kind to one another."  I don't think Ellen would mind me using her catch phrase.  Don't crash on anybody, it is just a hobby.
