A question about AI

Featured Replies

I have the Project AI Air Force One AI package installed and I would like to replace the Project AI 747 used with the AI Aardvark model. How do I go about doing that? (If possible I would like to use the Project AI flight plans)I am rather green when it comes to AI. All of my AI have been installed using a installer.PS: I already have the AI Aardvark 747-200 model installed from the various World of AI packages I have.

Well, firstly, download the Aardvark Air Force One B742 repaint from http://www.ai-aardvark.com/Extract the texture.air force one folder into the Aardvark 742 GE model with "use folder names" switched "on" so that you create the texture.air force one folder with the texture files inside it.It should look like the other texture. folders you find inside the Aardvark 742 folderBe careful, because the Aardvark 742 comes with several engine type variants (for P&W, GE and Rolls Royce engine shapes), and you need to have it in the right one, if you have a different folder for each. If you only have one Aardvark 742 folder, then it needs to have the correct model.ge folders inside it.The copy the text from the downloaded aircraft.cfg file and paste it into the aircraft.cfg file in the Aardvark 742 model folder within Flight Simulator/Aircraft. Make sure you put it at the bottom of the list of other Aardvark 742 aircraft you have installed and alter the fltsim.xx statement to the next number unused. So if you already have fltsim.12, change fltsim.xx to fltsim.13. The fltsim statements must be a unbroken numerical sequence. The open the PAI 742, open the aircraft.cfg file there and look for the "Air Force One" section in there. There will be title=statement, something like title=PAI B742 Air Force OneCut that out and paste it over the title= statement for Air Force One in the Aardvark 742 aircraft.cfg file. Thus you have changed the name of the Aardvark Air Force One to the neme the flightplan is looking for and it will use your Aardvark aircraft instead of the PAI one.Lastly, delete the whole of the fltsim section for Air Force One from the PAI aircraft.cfg and either renumber all the fltsims below it into the correct numbers, or simply cut the whole bottom fltsim setion out and paste it where Air Force One used to be, changing the fltsim number to the correct one to make the sequence complete.

Yup, won't be long before he's sitting in the default Cessna 172 on the grass just beside the active runway wearing his anorak and carrying his notebook, spotting the AI going by.Come on, how many of you have done that?
