November 1, 20178 yr Thank you for your insight Paulo, I agree that a large portion of "flight control feel" is dependent on the physical equipment the user holds in their hand, it's size, range of travel, distance of relevant pivots, and forces which act against deflection. A large portion of the "realism" delivered by full motion Level D simulators is the use of full size flight controls, hydraulically dampened to give proper feedback and centering. I myself use a simple and inexpensive Logitech Extreme 3D Pro, and so understand the limitations inherent in this equipment. I do my best to 'translate' my touch to a simulated control pressure on the aircraft. It appears that this DC-3/C-47 handles exactly as you've described the real aircraft then. Robert Toten

It was developed for FS2004 but may work in FSX It does indeed work in FSX:SE. I recently downloaded it. From a total layman's point of view she appears to behave very nicely, appearing to replicate the big, bulbous gal she is (hey, don't knock it!). She wants a fair bit of rudder in a turn, if the turn & slip gauge is anything to go by. She takes ages to get moving on takeoff and rate of climb whilst maintaining flying speed is sedate, but she gets there. You can play with the condition levers (I've left automixture selected). If the numbers stated in the kneeboard reference are anything like the real thing then she does follow them quite well. The model looks great externally although the VC is ..... functional. The download comes with it's own radial sound pack, but switching views causes the full throttle noise until you use full throttle then back off to "reset" the sound... until you change views again. I found another great R2800 sound pack which solved that problem. The prop texture disappears behind the clouds which is a bit of a niggle, especially if. like me, you love switching to external views. I'm going to investigate flying the hump soon.
