PC-12 Crashing Desktop

Featured Replies

Has anyone else had the problem with P3D v4 where you're flying along and P3D crashes back to desktop?  I am flying all other Carenado airplanes without any problem.  I'm on the current P3D v4 with GTX1080 TI FTW3, 32G DDR4 memory, I7-6700 and Samsung 1TB SSD.

I don't own the PC-12 but I've had numerous CTD's with the Ovation in P3Dv4.  And my A2A aircraft.  The difference between the two is that I get something (little of anything of value for troubleshooting) in Event Viewer with the A2A CTD's, but nothing at all from the Ovation CTD's.  With the Ovation I'm flying along just fine one moment and the next I'm looking at the desktop.  Are you getting anything in Event Viewer when the PC-12 CTD's?

Greg

Most in my cases when P3D ctd it was one of my extra Airports or Sceneries that were buggy, not the Airplane! Try to disable the extra Airport/Scenery in the Library for the Area where you are flying to figure it out.

By the way, I have the ORBX Scenery for the area I was flying in - IFR flight from KSNA to KADS over the Imperial Valley at FL290 when it happened.

Similar situation here, and also using ORBX scenery.  Mine seems to happen when I use the Avidyne Flightmax in flight.  If I don't touch it, I can fly with no issues.

After a clean, full install of 4.1, I cannot reproduce the error.  Flew several routes with and without flight plan, using Avidyne throughout.  Everything smooth sailing here after about 5 hours of flying.
