Edit: Now that I've had a chance to think about it, James, I do recall at least one instance in which the spinnerama trick didn't work. What I did there is open the airport in ADE and replace a bunch of terminal lights to ones that had virtually no impact. It takes a while to find the right type of light, but once you do you can simply hit "replace all." And I just remembered another one: a small airport in South America that I didn't bother to modify because those lights were in a very limited area around the terminal building.
