March 19, 200620 yr Hi,Would somebody please check something for me? My water is missing in Montreal and I'm trying to figure out why. I have UT/USA loaded, but I do not have UT/Canada. Montreal is on the border and is part of square 928150. My UT/USA scenery folder has HL928150C.bgl, HL928150D.bgl, HP928150C.bgl, HP928150D.bgl. The default HL928150.bgl and HP928150.bgl files have been deactivated (as they should be). My UT/Canada folder does not contain and 928150.bgl files.(UT/USA comes with some files from UT/Canada to avoid conflicts along the border (like this)).Would somebody with the same config I have please check if they have any water in Montreal? If you do, please let me know. Also, if you could you post what H?928150?.bgl files you have in your UT/USA and UT/Canada directories (usually in Flight Simulator 9SceneryUTUSAScenery and Flight Simulator 9SceneryUTCanadaScenery), I would appreciate it.Thanks,Thomas[a href=http://www.flyingscool.com/FC_StartJava.html] http://www.flyingscool.com/images/Signature.jpg [/a]I like using VC's :-) Tom Perry

March 19, 200620 yr >Do you have water around Montreal?>If you mean the lakes around Montreal Yes I did see lakes close to CYUL after taking of. For example the lake south of the airport was easy to identify.
March 19, 200620 yr Author The St. Lawrence river should run right around the CYUL and right through the city of Montreal. I do not see the river unless I activate the default HL/HP928150.bgl files. Without the default files, the lake to the south is in squares. But I need to do some more testing to see if I killed it with something else.Thomas[a href=http://www.flyingscool.com/FC_StartJava.html] http://www.flyingscool.com/images/Signature.jpg [/a]I like using VC's :-) Tom Perry

March 19, 200620 yr >Do you have the river running around CYUL?>No I only have a lake and I noticed that it consists of squares. It does not continue as a river through Montrol which I see in my atlas that it should. But I see an additional body of water (lake) further away.
March 19, 200620 yr Author I should have shown this before. This is what the area around CYUL looks like after the installation of UT/USA on my system.http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/145280.jpgAfter I reactivate the default files, it looks like this.http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/145282.jpgCan you confirm that your installation looks like the top or bottom picture, or something else? When I look at the 928150 files in the UTUSA folder, it contains data for the extreme bottom edge of the tile. It seems as though the UT/USA installation routine incorrectly deactivates the water features of this tile. I believe the fix is to reactivate the tile, and either accept the small changes made by the UT files, or deactivate them from the UTUSA folder.Thomas[a href=http://www.flyingscool.com/FC_StartJava.html] http://www.flyingscool.com/images/Signature.jpg [/a]I like using VC's :-) Tom Perry
March 19, 200620 yr Author Thanks for the help :)I wanted to see if it was me or UT. I think it is UT. I'm surprised nobody ever noticed this before. But I suppose those people who fly around Montreal would have UT/Canada installed, too.Thomas[a href=http://www.flyingscool.com/FC_StartJava.html] http://www.flyingscool.com/images/Signature.jpg [/a]I like using VC's :-) Tom Perry
March 19, 200620 yr Yes the lake south of Montrol is for me like the pic you show I think I confirm that. How do you do this reactivation to got you to the bottom pic?
March 19, 200620 yr Author Rename your two default files in Flight Simulator 9SceneryNAMESceneryHL928150.XXX and HP928150.XXX to HL928150.bgl and HP928150.bgl.Thomas[a href=http://www.flyingscool.com/FC_StartJava.html] http://www.flyingscool.com/images/Signature.jpg [/a]I like using VC's :-) Tom Perry
March 20, 200620 yr You are right, it is missing the LWMs and shores.Could you also check pelee island airport cypt? It is right on the line in Lake Erie between Cleveland and Detroit. I found it was all water (island completely missing).scott s..
March 20, 200620 yr Author Yes, I too am missing land underneath that airport. That airport is in LOD5 cell 925170.bgl.Thomas[a href=http://www.flyingscool.com/FC_StartJava.html] http://www.flyingscool.com/images/Signature.jpg [/a]I like using VC's :-) Tom Perry
