October 15, 20179 yr Here's a cool news story about the island St. Helena from BBC News. There's a couple of videos about the airport etc. and one brave Airbus crew. October 15, 20179 yr The article said it was an Embraer jet... Anyway I wonder when the airport will see regular cargo flights too. No point retiring a ship service if you can't get an influx of cargo to support the islanders. October 15, 20179 yr Author Yes. The primary article is about the Embraer jet. But, if you look at the two videos, one is about the first landing there. It's some Airbus version and the landing was quite iffy. I mention this only to encourage you to watch this video. I think you'll really enjoy it. October 15, 20179 yr Hi Richard, Ah I see you meant the video further down the article. Yep - did enjoy watching that vid again - that Airbus was a Boeing, sorry. A 737 with sharklets on the wingtips. Great wing flex on the bird though!
