More of the Cirrus

Recommended Posts

Just enjoying the rest of my flight down to Napa.  Still at FL220, slowed to 300KTAS for fuel economy.  About 100 miles out from Napa now.

Enjoying my new scenery very much!

Hi Folks,

LOL - you had me - saw the topic without the pix - thinking there is no way an SR-22 is doing 300 KTAS - you got me...

Nice pix !!

Scott

I'm guessing they haven't tuned the flight model very well - 300 KTAS is about as fast as the cirrus jet goes.

I had it up to 320KTAS, but was almost full thrust.  Burned up way too much fuel.  270-280KTAS at FL270 is a better airspeed according to Cirrus.  One problem with the Cirrus is that there seems to be no way to update the GPS, the panel is inoperative.  300KTAS can be flown but it is heavy on fuel use.  Had just enough fuel to begin my descent into Napa.  I am unsure how to update the fuel in Xplane11.

Do you have version 11.10?  I recall you saying you didn't update the beta version I think.  If you have the old version (the pretty much worthless avionics) then that makes sense.
