November 11, 20178 yr Good day everyone, I am not used to start a new thread but here I go. I have a problem in P3D v4.1, where after tweaking my P3D.CFG, applying ENVTEX and PTA, the ground textures are "breathing", they are alternating between normal textures and all black. (see the pictures) I have of course tried to look up for a solution before asking here, but unlike other people where the problem was after installing a new scenery or plane, I am full stock (unless ENVTEX of course) and so I really don't understand why it keeps happening. So, has any of you experienced this and solved the problem or a solution for it? I'm stuck on the ground at the moment. Have a great day! :)
November 11, 20178 yr Moderator post your system specs please That's usually a sign that you are overloading your system. Vic RIG#1 - I9 14900K MSI Pro z790 RTX 5070Ti 40" 4K Monitor 3840x2160
November 11, 20178 yr Also, brown clouds? Looks like shader problem, and what "magic" .cfg tweaks?? Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-10700F CPU @ 2.90GHz (8 cores) Hyper on, Evga RTX 3060 12 Gig, 32 GB ram, Windows 11, P3D v6, and MSFS 2020 and a couple of SSD's

Restore things to default and see what happens. Could be ENVTEX, could be PTA.
November 11, 20178 yr Author That would be surprising since I've been using P3D V4 since mid-June and everything worked since then. Alright so @vgbaron, I restored my default shaders, and then applied the preset (thopat 2.60) each category by each. After some tests I figured out the "custom tweaks" section was causing the trouble, now I disabled it and everything works perfectly (excepts the shader which may be a little different). Not sure what was wrong though, and thanks you all for your answers and help! @jimcarrel: It was a shader problem you were right. And I tweaked it "by hand" following a guide, for me it works better than some tools. @J van E: When I mean "full stock" I actually meant "no extra content" such as a C172, or any scenery. :) Thanks again, happy flying!
