I'm very new to the Q400 so may have missed something, but going through the Q400 tutorial there doesn't seem to be a request from the FO to ask the Captain to turn the Seat Belt signs off at 10,000 FT.  The only thing I could find is the FO turns them on again during the 'Descent Checklist to the Line'   Just seems unusual compared to other FS2Crew aircraft I have flown, this point is always covered.

My consultant pilot said they never did that at his old airline. 

Regardless you can make a manual voice command to turn off the seatbelts ride conditions permitting.
