November 13, 20178 yr I just wanted to mention that since updating to the latest version my FO randomly says things and in the red text that appears I see “attention” appear. Now I’ve checked the aircraft and all’s well, it’s happened in the CRJ, Dash, and the PMDG 737. has anyone else seen or heard this? I ask as today it interrupted a PF3 readback and caused my FO to miss a freq change. I corrected the missed freq, but curious if it’s only mee this is happening to. Rob

Rob Believe it or not, this is a way to fight the chances for Fo to go missing after hours of flying. Every 10 to 15 minutes or something like that, MCE will simulate a speech command "attention". Just ignore it, as it only ensures FO is still there, and more importantly keeps the speech engine busy every now and then so that it doesn't go to sleep Will see how it goes over time, and will either keep it or eventually remove it if it doesn't achieve its aim. November 13, 20178 yr Author Thanks for the feedback Gerald. I’ll have to keep an eye on things more closely, because as I say that FO response came just as PF3 was contacting me, and it caused the transmission to end and the FO then missed the message. anyway at least the random FO message is normal :) Rob
November 13, 20178 yr I had seen this too. But no time to verify due to less flying time. But i think this was why my fo missed a freq change as well. Best regards John John Cramer
