November 15, 20178 yr Hi Kevin, I just purchased PrecipFX, and with it enabled in P3D 4.1, I get no clouds. At NZAA, it was stormy, with lightning in clear skies. I am using ASP4, with Envetex ( tried it disabled ) and ASCA. Have tried turning ff Precip features off one by one, and still no clouds, any idea what could be wrong ? Edit: Have detailed Precip turned off in P3D System: MSFS2024, ASUS Rog Stryx Z790-A, Intel i9-14900KF, Asus ROG Ryujin III 360 , Asus Hyperion Case,Rog Stryx 4090 OC, Samsung 970 EVO M.2 SSD, 1Tb Samsung 860 EVO SSD,64Gb G Skill Memory, Asus Aura 1200W Gold PSU,Win 11 ,LG C4 48" 4K OLED Screen., Airbus TCA Full Kit, Stream Deck XL. November 15, 20178 yr I had a similar issue (not with PrecipFX but with a combo of PTA and ENVTEX) and slightly by accident discovered that uninstalling and reinstalling PTA & ENVTEX solved the problem. Ahh ok, but seems I can't use it though, with it enabled, I lose clouds. Thinkimg it must be doing something. Tried that, might have to try again. Thanks for the tip. I am using Envshade. I will try and remove that too. November 15, 20178 yr Having recalled the issue a little more I seem to remember that when I upgraded to 4.1 I was using one of the ENVTEX PTA presets (which i think are built into ENVSHADE) and one of the settings (concerning clouds) in PTA was causing the issue. Sorry I'm not at my P3D PC at the moment and can't remember which one - but by disabling that "fix" in PTA it solved it. I think (from what I understand) that ENVSHADE is these shader "fixes" hard coded into P3D so you may not be able to "tweak" as required. Try uninstalling ENVSHADE and restoring original shaders,.
