Hi Guys,

Just to let you know that I did check the forums for about 20 pages but didn't find anything.

I would like to start adding my own ai to P3D V4. I know it's a huge project but winter is coming so I will have some free time. I am so jealous of those members who have lots of beautiful ai at their airports and would like the same. I have started to download models from FAIB, UTT, AIG,, and flying carpet but they don't have all the models so I would like to know what models are guaranteed to work in P3D V4. There are some ai malcontent and fspaix models on avsim, but not sure if those will work. I don't want to start installing them just to see what happens since I really don't want to introduce any possible problems with my P3D because thanks to members here, I have my P3D working very well. Thanks as always guys.

I'm sure you will get some help at AVSIM, but your go to authority on AI and compatible models is at the AIG forums, especially since you want to assemble your own AI.

If you're feeling lazy, just purchase UTLive.  You can replace some of their models with whatever you choose but at least you'll have a great foundation to build on and not have to worry about schedules, etc.

Hi there, if you want to add your own AI the best source and information can be found at the AIG forums, they have great resource of models and tools.

Regarding what works with PD3 V4, you will not find a straight list, so most of the work is try and error, having said that most AI re-painters are now supporting V4 by default and the easy way to find out is to just download the model and if you find a PD3 V4 folder inside the zip download you are good to go.

Regarding FSP or FSPAIX models they work with PDV4 and they have been designed for PDV4, but be aware the developer of these models did not followed the SDK instructions from LM regarding the installation and configuration of the AI Lights, so although these models look great and they load without issues they will have problems with their AI Lighting behaviour that cannot be corrected.

Best Regards,
Simbol
