  1. Unfortunately there is still scenery "popping" in large urban areas but overall a fantastic update!
  2. This happened to me today for the first time in MSFS2020. I did the above and can confirm it helped. Thanks. Ilya
  3. I ran into this issue a few weeks ago and unfortunately the only thing that fixed it was reinstalling the sim...I know....not what you want to hear. Before you do that though, run through the usual checklist of things to try like clearing DX cache and the below scripts. Also, try booting with a clean Community folder. --------------------------------------------------- Dism.exe /online /Cleanup-Image /CheckHealth Dism.exe /online /Cleanup-Image /ScanHealth Dism.exe /online /Cleanup-Image /Restorehealth sfc /scannow Dism.exe /Online /Cleanup-Image /AnalyzeComponentStore Dism.exe /Online /Cleanup-Image /StartComponentCleanup
  4. I posted in the official forum. Let's see what happens. Thanks.
  5. Yes of course. Just trying to understand is the issue on my side or theirs. Given the nav update today, wonder if something got borked.
  6. After the small nav update today, the game will not load to the start screen for me. Blue bar goes all the way to the right at New Activities and that's about it. Anyone else? Any suggestions to fix? Thanks! Ilya
  7. Who exactly is panning it? We are just stating that caution is in order before plopping down a good chunk of change with nary a review available to help make a decision. If the developer was so gung ho on the product, they would have pre-released it to a select group of reviewers to generate buzz. Given that didn't happen, it makes even more of a case to be cautious.
  8. Typically big releases are preceded by YT reviews by the usual suspects to gin up excitement for sales. When this doesn't happen it's usually because there is nothing good to write about.
  9. Do you still need to move anything from my 2020 folders? Assuming you change the the settings and install the app? Thanks!
  10. My suggestion - get rid of Process Lasso. This is really not needed in MSFS and for me it caused more stuttering. I also highly recommend using the AutoFPS tool if you haven't tried that yet. It will automatically lower your LODs on approach and improve performance/stutters. Ilya
  11. The bane of my existence in FSX - the ole z-buffer issue. Sorry dude - nothing you can do - even DX10 didn't fix it. Believe me I searched high and low. P3D maybe fixes this? Ilya
  12. I've used this: http://www.avsim.com/topic/445556-the-dx10-fixer-how-to-guide/ Very comprehensive and easy to follow. Ilya
  13. Also, what is the contents of your fsx.cfg file? Asking these types of questions without knowing how you configured FSX is like asking your mechanic to diagnose your car without seeing it. Also have you read and followed the directions of the Avsim configuration guide for FSX? Ilya
  14. Then you are missing out in a big time way. Do it and you'll never go back to DX9 and wonder why you didn't do it sooner. Ilya
  15. Excellent. Will use this method going forward. Thanks all! Ilya
  16. I thought I had to. Is that what's causing the issue you think? Thanks. Ilya
  17. Hi Dan, FSX. No, not on top of another session. Just loading from the start screen after selecting the 777. Thanks. ILya
  18. Hi Folks, I noticed that after loading a saved flight everything works except the external lights (i.e. Nav, Beacon, etc). Is this a known "phenomena"? Apologize if this question was ever asked and answered in the past. Thanks! Ilya Eydis
  19. Guys, Be very, very cautious with registry cleaners. #1 - they are not necessary and #2 they will not "speed up" anything. At best - they are harmless. At worst - they can cause serious issues. Case in point - after I foolishly cleaned my registry some time back (with CC), my FSX started crashing. Turns out something got corrupted with a dll registry for one of my addon aircraft. Had to reinstall and spend time reconfiguring the settings. If you are having serious issues with your PC, I can almost guarantee you its NOT because of bad entries in the registry. If you don't have any issues - my advice would be to not fix what's not broken. Ilya
  20. There is some issue with their FTP site. Hopefully they'll fix it soon.
  21. Right, that is what I said. The Aircraft to Spawn is the ultimate control value for the # of planes. The value I'm referring to is Density. Many people did not understand what this value meant when looking at flights in UT2. The value means that the flight will only be displayed when the Traffic Density is set to a value at or below the figure listed. Ilya
  22. Stan, The real control of # of planes is Aircraft to Spawn. In my understanding, the % setting is linked to specific UT2 flights . You see a % next to each flight and this basically acts as the gatekeeper of when you will see this particular flight spawn. So if a flight is 85% it means that you will only see this flight if your # setting is 85% or above. Again, this is just my understanding based on reading their forums. Ilya
