Is MSFS2020 Down?

Featured Replies

After the small nav update today, the game will not load to the start screen for me.  Blue bar goes all the way to the right at New Activities and that's about it.  Anyone else?  Any suggestions to fix?

Thanks!

Yes of course.  Just trying to understand is the issue on my side or theirs.  Given the nav update today, wonder if something got borked.

I got in ok.

My problem then was I could not get the aircraft to load on the runway I selected on the World Map page.

Aircraft loaded on MSFS's default runway.

Maybe I got a bad update.

Are you running DX11 and do you have the Nvidia App installed? If yes to both then that might be the issue.

I loaded 2020 and let MSFS decide runway, then restarted and chose other runway and was again at same runway as first time.

So as far as I'm concerned you are right.

I9-14900K,  Gigabyte B760 Aorus Elite AX, RTX 4080, 32 ram.1 tb nvme  M.2 SSD, MSFS 2020 on 2 tb nvme m.2 SSD

My MSFS2020 did load fine after all updates was installed.

After the install Prozess i closed the Sim deleted all Nvidia shader cache and scenery indexes and did boot my PC, started my Sim and all work fine, no Problems at all, no runway problem but this could be a setting thing with your setup in the Settings section..

cheers 😉

It's been doing that for ages before the update.

I am not on MSFS2020, but yes I recall this runway issue has been old one. It should not be that way.

I had also read somewhere that it can be fixed by:

Going to Assistance Options -> User Experience, and setting “ATC ENFORCE FLIGHTPLAN” to ON (from OFF).
