Any way to have the capability to switch over to ground power as stated in the checklists so my battery does not drain? Did I overlook how to to this? Thanks.

The big problem Carenado the GPU never works.

I've used this in the past for a variety of aircraft in FSX. It can be found in AVSIM FSX Gauges library. He made a few examples for different Carenado aircraft. 

File Description:
This gauge add a GPU to the carenado C90, that can be used to charge the battery. Credit to Doug Dawson for his battery charger dll gauge that made this possible.
