FO skips TCAS test

I had the impression that I never heard the TCAS system test OK sound during the FO’s originating flow so during my last three originating flights I stopped my own work to observe my FO and indeed while I do see him do things like the anti skid and WX radar test he never performs the TCAS test.

Anyone else notice this?

He should do it.

Check the conditions necessary to run the TCAS test.

I did, that is at one of those times right after the FO’s flow was completed, I checked to see whether the test would work if I did it myself and indeed it did so.

Check your PMs... we could use you to test 3.3.  I have many of your suggestions in it.
