Newbei is totaly lost. G530W Config

Featured Replies

Hello,

So I decided to treat myself with the G530W. & I think I got my self in some troubles. (-:

I installed the G530 & got the Garmin Trainer Data too

I have GPS made by DesktopeAviatore and I managed to assign all the knobs and buttons respectively by using the stock G430 Joystick Commands, (For some reasons LR did assign knobs & buttons to the G530) so no mouse / KB clicking, which is great

Now I nee to swap the stock G530 in the C172SP, with the RialityXP G530W, & since I'm experimenting with VR I would like to have it integrated into the 3D Cockpit/Panel. Popup window is desirable as well

Sorry for sound like a dumb, but I went through the User Manuel & most of it looks like Japanese to my eyes, however, I'm not a Tech Savvy & I easily get intimidated by  *.ini or *.config files. & Messing up with Plain-Makers is not part of my virtues

Am I domed ??????

Any help will be highly appreciated

Okay for your Cessna question see this thread

...I forgot to mention that I'm experimenting Virtual Reality.

I manage to swap the GPS & now the RealityXP G530 reside in the 3D Panel, However clicking on the Window-Pop Up button, evoking the Stock GPS & not the RealityXP one.

The realityXP GPS is always up as a popup window for some reason I can't get read of him so I have  2 G530 in popup windows

Any ideas ??

Cheers

Hi, Laminar has posted the VR is not compatible with 'popup windows' for now. They are working on this.

When not in VR, is the popup clickspot working as expected?

..okay. I found all the buttons, all I had to do is rest the previous assignments to default and re assign to the GNS, ... we all good :-)

The default GPS does popup on & is visible when using headset, RXP popup but is not visible when Headset is on, not sure when but I ,definitely, need it when flying VR

Cheers

Just wait for them to work on this. XP VR is brand new and they have many things to do, then, we have to catch up if ever they add new features to the SDK.

How does XP display popup windows is out of our control: XP just tell our plugin it is time to render within a rect, and tell our plugin the mouse was clicked there.
