Nosewheel Steering Problem

Featured Replies

Hi all, I have a problem with the nosewheel steering in P3D.

So what's happening is that whenever I use my pedals for nosewheel steering (they are mapped) it begins to steer the aircraft but then kind of acts like a brake and so then the aircraft comes to a stop.. this is across default and payware aircraft like PMDG and FsLabs. I made sure they were mapped and functioning by checking outside and the nosewheel is indeed steering fully to the left and right but the aircraft is not and is just coming to a halt. Please let me know of anything I should do to get the steering functioning again. Thank you.

Most rudder pedals also have the toe brakes mapped to them. It is very easy to step on the brake while using the rudders.

Also, depending on how the aircraft is modeled, turning the nose wheel to far will result is a braking action as the tire skids.

As it is happening with all AC it must be a mapping problem, recheck it , make sure the brakes (left and right ) are assigned correctly and the rudder also , if this are Saitek pedals the toe brakes must be inverted.

I have rechecked it and the brakes are inverted. Its not a brake problem as I tried just taking off and it works fine.. It also works fine taxiing when I do not turn the nosewheel..

Are you using EZDok? Make sure you're up-to-date.
