January 15, 20188 yr Hello all Basically when entering and flying a hold on the blackbox A330 it is very small so when im flying round onto the downwind leg the aircraft has to come back in on its self and this repeats around the hold. Is there anyway I can edit a setting somewhere to make the radius larger so the hold is 'wider' and the aircraft can fly it correctly? Cheers Matt.
January 15, 20188 yr The only way I have found to do this is with the latest version of the Reality XP GTN series GPS gauges. New capability based on a new feature set provided by Garmin in its most recent GTN Trainer. Hold must be at a waypoint in the Garmin database. In fact, a hold can be added to virtually any waypoint, inbound or outbound at the fix, on radial you spec; hold legs for either specified time or specified distance, right turn or left turn. And you can set up the time to expect further clearance or manually exit the hold at any time. It's a beautiful feature.
