January 20, 20188 yr Good morning lads, sadly i had to notice that after i reinstalled my flight sim i started having big start up problems. When i am about to start the p3d.exe, it starts loading normaly... But im not even coming to the main menu... i think the start up time is endless... so if anybody of you got some solutions for me that would awesome! little side note: i already reinstalled P3D and tried to repair it... without success :( or could it be a problem with the registry? Any help would be highly appreciated...

This command will remove the 3 Prepar3D v4 generated folders from AppData\Local, AppData\Roaming and ProgramData These folders will generate again when you launch Prepar3D next Navigate to your core Prepar3D v4 folder, scroll down a bit, Double left click on the file Delete generated files, A small black widow will appear and then disappear again, this is normal Then launch Prepar3D and test. Please Note: Using this command will disable all your Add On's and and bring your previously saved settings back to default again

When you start up P3DV4, make sure you have set it up to Run as Administrator for ALL users (not just you). Right click on the P3D.exe icon on your desktop, select Properties, the Compatibility Tab and then look all the way down for running in Admin mode. When you load P3DV4 and it will not start up, it is most likely an issue with a module attempting to load via the dll.xml and the module is missing, corrupt, or the dll.xml is corrupt and not encoded properly. When it is not encoded properly, it will not start up. The only way to fix it is to save the dll.xml in the same folder as the scenery.cfg, rename dll.xml to dll.xml.off. When you restart P3D, a new dll.xml will be rebuilt. For further information and guidance, see page 10, AVSIM CTD Guide (link in my signature). Jim Young | AVSIM Online! - Simming's Premier Resource!
