January 30, 20188 yr Hello to all, looks like i've found my very own "Bermuda triangle" where P3D will ALWAYS crash with an "kernelbase.dll": At around N40 24.68 / E30 0.39 or flying from PIMAV to TOKER at around 35 nm left to TOKER my P3D will crash, no matter if i fly with PMDG or with stock F16, with or without ASP4 / UTL / SF3D / EZCA / stock AI traffic etc. Can try it also to slew the aircraft, the sim will crash. In that area are NO addon Airports or other stuff installed, only ORBX Global should be there. Can someone reproduce that crash? January 31, 20188 yr According to page 34, AVSIM CTD Guide (see link in my signature), the kernelbase.dll indicates settings too high; corrupted user profile, or corrupted Windows system files. January 31, 20188 yr Author Thx for creating the own thread. I've investigated the problem further yesterday. It seems like i have an problem with the regions east of Istanbul. Even when i place my aircraft (stock Beechcraft) at airports at Karachi or Baku P3D will crash instantly as soon as the whole scenery (only stock airports) is loaded. Of course i've checked the CTD guide and i can rule out problem with to high settings, corrupted user profile and windows system files as P3D will work flawless when i stay in europe (with plenty addon airports and landclasses i have). I already have deactivated the ASIA area of FS GUNG, also no joy. System: i9 [email protected] - 32 GB RAM - Aorus 1080ti --- Sim/Addons: P3D v5 + ProSim737
January 31, 20188 yr The solutions in the guide are from searching the Internet at all of the flight simulation websites and putting the solutions that worked for others. Just FYI. So, the regions east of Istanbul are the problem. Went to all of the airports in the areas you were having issues and no CTD's. OPKC had the most buildings. Since I don't believe in Autogen and forests, I had that all turned off so it looked kind of bare in the area. Changed the autogen to max for all sliders and got tons of buildings and objects but still no crash. Autogen causes a lot of CTD's too if the sim cannot render the object for some reason. My FPS showed I was getting 80 - 90 fps in the areas with max autogen. Must be something else seriously wrong with your setup (computer or P3D). January 31, 20188 yr Author Thx for your testing. I will try tonight some other stuff, hopefully i will get an hot lead to the origin of this crash. Beside the windows security events, is there an other log which could help me? System: i9 [email protected] - 32 GB RAM - Aorus 1080ti --- Sim/Addons: P3D v5 + ProSim737
January 31, 20188 yr Author Okay, new info: the sim is crashing EXACTLY when i cross the E30° longitude when flying East and between E97° and E98° when flying WEST, no matter if i'm on the northern or southern hemisphere ...
