Ortho4XP stops during process

Recommended Posts

I have just started using Ortho4xp, and on the few tiles in southern England I have done, the results are very good (around EGKA, Shoreham, my home field). I am now extending the coverage to the rest of the UK, but now, today, ortho4xp will not get far along its first process, and stops at:

obtaining osm data for way ["natural"="water"] ["tidal"!="yes"]

Done.

At this point nothing more happens. What have I done? I have re installed ortho4xp but still the same thing happens. Yesterday I built at least 15 tiles around the world, no problems, but not today!

Any help appreciated, and thanks.

Hello jbmouse,

since yesterday I have the same problem as you described. After trying to turn on/off and changing multiple options it appeared that (at least for me) leaving the "Sea source:" and "Sea zoomlevel:" tab under the "Provider and Zoomlevel" section on the main page blank fixes the problem.

Hope it also works for you!

Hi Guys

I was having the same issue but it worked fine when I right clicked on the OrthoXP_v120b.exe and picked the "Run as Administrator" option.

Cheers

Known problem with ortho4xp, solutions:

Deleting the osm folder usually solves it, if that doenst work we need to change the osm source in the cfg, explained in the x-plane org forums.

I am also new to Ortho4xp. I did my first three tiles today in Alaska. The download of the images went well but then it stopped and sad something like: could not build overlay....

I tested it in XP and it looks pretty good but he overlay is missing.

Is there any way to build only the overlay either from the default scenery or from HD V4 that I have?

Thanks and many happy landings
