May 4, 200521 yr I notice that on the front page of Avsim there is a comment referring to the Trident as being the answer to the Boeing 727.Is this true or accurate? All of the information I've been able to find so far has indicated the HS121 (Trident) came first. The HS121 website http://www.hs121.org/ indicates this as does Dave Maltby's site http://www.dmflightsim.co.uk/hs121_trident_history.htmBoeing say that the 727 rolled out on November 27 1962 (http://www.boeing.com/history/boeing/727.html) whilst Dave Maltby's site states that the Trident first flew on January 1962.Can anyone confirm or refute what I've researched and come up with?
May 5, 200521 yr As an addendum to what you already state:Whilst the Boeing 727 roll-out was 27th November,1962;The Boeing 727 maiden flight was 9th February, 1963 at Renton. As to which is the answer to which just depends on which side of the Atlantic you live. :-lol Cheers, Roger http://forum.avsim.net/public/styles_images/flags/au.png
