February 21, 20188 yr I consider myself to be a competent virtual Boeing and Airbus pilot, even a half competent virtual Q400 pilot on a good day, but boy does this aircraft make me feel dumb! In a good way that is...this is so different I think I’m going to have a blast figuring it out. During my first attempt to start from cold and dark tonight i spent a long time just trying to figure out where half the switches were. You don’t realize how common even very different Boeings are until you try to apply that knowledge/approach to an MD82. I never did successfully do my first start-up...i had one hot start and the nav displays stayed off for some reason. Off to study some manuals! February 21, 20188 yr Hahaha EXACTLY the same for me exept I had managed the Ultimate DC9 pretty well in FSX ,
February 21, 20188 yr Feel the same way. Took me two attempts to get airborne and have things go smooth. I need more practice on my approach and landing before I attempt this bird on Vatsim. It's great to fly something different.
