FMC not allowing the selection of waypoints

Featured Replies

I noticed today that when inputting a waypoint in which multiple ones with the same name exist, you cannot choose which one you want. For instance, today I had HOC as a waypoint and when I looked on the legs page it was the wrong one 1000 miles or so away, it didn't allow me to select which one I wanted

That honestly sounds like a database issue.  I know I've had the option to select my waypoint when duplicates are available.  Can you post your route?

Hmm, that's interesting. I don't have the route anymore. It was whatever PFPX created for EPWA-LGTS earlier today. Current navigraph cycle. I'm not 100%, but I could have sworn that another aircraft let me choose which HOC I wanted a few weeks ago. Do you know of a waypoint that has more than one of it? If so, when I get home I'll try imputing it and see what the FMC does

Looking at my company worldwide database.  There is only one waypoint with the identifier HOC and its Hillsboro NDB.

Actually I do see one in France but its a DME.  Is that what you tried to enter? You might need to check the database.  Its in the PMDG one.  But I don't know if this CDU will recognize a DME as a nav fix.

Do not use PFPX to export route as there is a glitch in their export module.

Your problem might possibly derive from there.
