What is most realistic joystick setting for NGX?

Featured Replies

Hello, I have a question about the joystick setting.

My favorite is NGX, and I 'm using cyborg v1 stick.  I'm using P3D default setting now and I feel it is too sensitive for Boeing aircraft. (because I heard Airbus sidestick is sensitive but Boeing's yoke is less sensitive.)

So, I will change my stick sensitivity but I don't know what setting is most realistic setting for NGX... So I need some help!!

Wonwoo.

When your joystick is at the left stop while the 737‘s yoke is at the left stop, same at the right side and is centered while the yoke is centered, you‘re fine... don‘t try to compare fly by wire inputs to mechanically connected controls...

on an airbus you ask for a turn rate and a g force, on the 737 you move the control surfaces... completely different concept...

There is no such thing as a wrong personal preference, but if you want fidelity then you will simply calibrate full span and zero..., maybe add a small null zone at center but not much.  The flight dynamics are realistic, of course control back pressure from such things as aerodynamic loading are missing in a PC simulation.

I would like to hear what you think to too responsive, pitch or roll?  Are you at cruise speeds or at low altitude maneuvering?
