COMMS - Tackeoff, Landing, etc

Done a few tutorials but on the COMMS the Takeoff and Landing is always grayed out. What am I missing?

Have you selected the PA button on the radio panel?

Hi, I found myself can not communicate with ground crew / mechanics even after following video tutorial from youtube, any suggestions? thanks
