May 28, 200620 yr Hey folks,When I load up the Project Mach 2 Concorde, I getr a message that the aircraft uses certain components that may not work with the unregistered version of FSUIPC... problem is that I can't seem to find any key to enter... all that I know is that it apparently has to do with the sound file(s).Any thoughts / suggestions would be appreciated.PZL
May 28, 200620 yr Sounds to me like a module called 'FSSound.dll' needs to added to your 'main Modules' folder to make it work. You will also have to add it to your 'fs9.cfg' to avoid startup warnings.Dave T. .........On the Devon Riviera and active 'FlightSim User's Group' member at http://www.flightsimgrpuk.free-online.co.uk/http://www.captainsim.com/user/dl/c130/c130_captain.gifhttp://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/supporter.jpg Dave Taylor
May 29, 200620 yr Don't forget to add it to your [Old Modules] file thus.......Square brackets--------------> (Old Modules) <-------Square brackets FSSound.dll=1Dave T. .........On the Devon Riviera and active 'FlightSim User's Group' member at http://www.flightsimgrpuk.free-online.co.uk/http://www.captainsim.com/user/dl/c130/c130_captain.gifhttp://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/supporter.jpg Dave Taylor
May 29, 200620 yr FSUIPC DLL is a small 3rd party module that interfaces with the sim and reports variables to gauges that they would otherwise not be able too. It used to be free.A few years ago the author decided to make money from it and made it non-free and encumbered it with restrictions.Whats happening now is the older concord used the older unregistered version and now the newer one does not want to play nice with it. I will spare you my rant on FSUIPC *cough*. Simply go to modules in the main FS folder and move it or delete it. Gauges may stop working but so far none have been all that important, but YMMV.CheersShad

May 29, 200620 yr Shad you should take to heart Zane's comment. Without FSUIPC in both its registered and unregistered formats most of the features that are available for 3rd party aircraft would not be possible. There is a real need for you to get the facts before sounding off on this issue.http://www.avsim.com/pages/robert/kirkland.jpg Associate Editor & COO AVSIM INC
May 29, 200620 yr Fact - FSUIPC based freeware aircraft often cause problems on my systemsFact - FSUIPC pops up messages about unregistered aricraftFact - I find both these things annoying.Fact - I as a user and a human being am allowed to be upset by this.It may be a wonderful tool for all of you. But its not been wonderful for me, and I will not be silenced about that fact. I fly mostly freeware. My System -does not crash in FS- when FSUIPC is not installed. This is my reality.Anyway. Look, obviously nobody is allowed to even voice a moment of dissent here because you all "like such and such" as developers. When will you people get it through your heads it is US who makes you possible? We the users. We the potential purchasers, supporters, admireres or what ever the price you want for your model that you are asking me to pay. Therefore, I am allowed to express my dissatisfaction. You are allowed to disagree.I'm outa here
May 29, 200620 yr Author Edited http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v615/Dar...0/ph34rblag.gifI use the freeware version in FS2002, so it's not an issue to me. I hope FSX is what I'm looking for i.e. relatively bug free.I'll say no more http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v615/Dar...0/ph34rblag.gif Quote from MS Flight Team Lead: "We’ve made some guesses"
