March 2, 20188 yr I just purchased the VRinsight MCP 2 and have never used linda before. I have p3dv4.1 in Windows 10 and the PMDGngx. From the instruction I need to install the base software and the mcp software from vrinsight. After this do I then install linda and add the ngx module to the p3d modules folder and it should work? Is there a complete tutorial or manual to follow when doing this setup? Thanks, Paul

You need a registered version of FSUIPC for P3Dv4. Once, FSUIPC is installed, you will see the folder "Modules" in your main P3Dv4 installation folder. When you download LINDA, you'll see a folder named "Your Flt Sim Folder". put everything from inside this folder into your main Flt Sim folder. There is also an PDF with detailed installation instructions After that, you have to download the NGX module and put that into the modules folder. March 2, 20188 yr Author Thank you for your information. I have FSUIPC v5.121b registered installed and assign my yoke, throttles and rudder with it.
March 2, 20188 yr You should immediately update to the latest version 5.124! March 10, 20188 yr Author I have linda installed and on it say in red 'LINDA not sysc-ed to Flt Sim' So how do I link it to P3d?
March 10, 20188 yr Author Ok, it is going better. I have linda working in a default plane. When I load p3d with the pmdgngx the Vrinsight mcp comes alive and the radio panel in the ngx is changing when I turn a knob. When I try to turn a knob in the autopilot panel the digital value will change in the mcp but not in p3d. This applies to the EFIS panel as well. I downloaded the latest ngx preset 4.11. Will linda automatically load this preset when I select the ngx or do I need to select it? thanks Edited March 11, 20188 yr by burm
March 11, 20188 yr Hi Burm Please follow the Fault Diagnosis procedure here and email me the logs. This will show what is not working for you. You refer to the latest PMDG 737NGX preset 4.11. This is the MODULE which contains default settings for the MCP Panels. These only apply if you have not already saved a MCP assignments for your system. If you want to revert to the default settings you to backup and delete your existing config-mcpX.lua file (X is the version of your panel). The file is located in /modules/Linda-cfg/aircrafts/PMDG 737NGX/. March 22, 20188 yr Author I guess I spoke too soon. I do not know what happened but the problem with the hdg and alt knobs. When I rotate them the hdg changes by 10 degrees with a slight movement on my MCP. The alt knob when rotated only changes 1000 feet not 100 as it should. I have the latest FSUIPC, Linda and MCDash8 modules in p3d v4.1. Linda works fine with PMDG and default planes. Anyone know how to fix this? thanks Paul
March 22, 20188 yr Theres no fix. The Dash changes after a while its incremental speed of HDG and ALT to fast. It is not from LINDAs side, but some internal logic of the Dash itself. I haven't found a way till now how to solve this, sorry Guenter Steiner -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Betatester for: A2A, LORBY, FSR-Pillow Tester --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
