Low GPU and CPU usage

Featured Replies

Hello!

I most scenarios i don´t get very high frames, and i was wondering if that had anything to do with my CPU and GPU´s low usage. As you see in the picture below, both is only using about half its power, is this normal? I hope one of you can throw me in the right direction.

thank you

You are looking at a summarized chart of what all your cores are doing, that tells you nothing. You need to look at the workload of the individual cores. The ESP platform also leans on one thread for doing the main bulk of the calculation, whilst the rest of the cores will see less usage. Bit better in P3D where the other threads can render autogen and terrain but still, it'll rarely see full usage. So your low performance probably stems from addons and too high settings. I'm seeing PMDG and FlyTampa's Boston, the latter I've already seen mentioned as being heavy on performance.
