March 3, 20188 yr Just installed a fresh copy of 747 QOTS into a fresh P3D V4.2 Installation. 747 request activation, says it is activated then has a dead panel on start-up. When P3V is restarted and 747 loaded ( from default scenario ), ask for activation again, accepts it and dead panel again, and again etc. Any suggestions? Lee DuBois
March 3, 20188 yr Did you run the QOTSII installer with admin rights? Do you have an antivirus software? Has something turned of the FlexNet services? Dan Downs KCRP
March 4, 20188 yr Author Own all PMDG P3D V4 products -737NG, 777ER, and DC6B all work fine. I've been down this QOTSII activation-dead panel path before with FSX version. I finally got the P3D V4 to accept activation an startup properly. Here's what worked - 1. Load P3D V4 Default scenario 2. Select QOTSII aircraft 3. When the activation window comes up, minimize P3D to the taskbar - activation window will stay on desktop 4. Enter activation code, wait for success window to appear 5 Maximize P3D - after several seconds QOTSII will initialize and run properly - from then on it will work whenever loaded. Shame on PMDG - your customers shouldn't have to put up with this - reports of activation problems and dead panels are all too frequent

Lee DuBois Just curious as this happened to me a month ago. But did you have the FSX version of the 74 as well? I installed the 73 ON P3Dv4 and was accidentally entering my FSX activation code. It would activate but everything would lock up inside 10 secs. Restart the sim and it asked for my activation code again. Rinse and repeat. When I realized my error it registered fine. So, if you have both FSX and P3D licenses just make sure you are using the right code to activate.
