March 7, 20188 yr I am gradually moving from FSX to Prepar3Dv4 now and I'm trying to setup my PMDG QOS II Cockpit to my liking. To get quick access to some instruments in this VC-only plane I created some custom camera views, undocked these windows and moved them to my auxiliary monitors (good old 2D panel style). I then saved the undocked window positions in my standard scenario. I would like to be able to toggle these via a key-combo. This was easy in FSX since the old PMDG 747 had a 2D-cockpit and many panel views were saved in the panel.cfg. Each window had its own unique ident number and a key shortcut could be assigned via FSUIPC. However, this seems no longer possible for the P3D custom camera views since the camera information is saved in the CustomCamera.xml in the AppData folder whereas the View-Window information (position and Camera GUID) seems to be saved only in the scenario file of the user saved standard scenario. So is there a way to assign a key combo to these user defined windows? P3D labels them view01, view 02 etc. in the order they were created. There is the possibilty to cycle through all currently open views via the CRTL-TAB command which is rather unconvenient if you need to quickly open a specific window which is at the end of the cycle, but the fact that cycling is possible makes me believe that there should still be a way to assign a key somehow. Unfortunately, so far I haven't found a way neither in the P3D options nor via FSUIPC. Any help greatly appreciated, thanks. Best regards, draci Edited March 7, 20188 yr by bmaik

March 9, 20188 yr Author Thank you Nemo for your help, a really nice tutorial, but unfortunately it does not yet solve my problem, because once the camera is created I need to open it in an undocked window and it is this window I would like to toggle (show/hide) with a key combination. As far as I know the hotkey feature only brings up the CAMERA the hotkey is assigned to in the currently active window, but I would like to toggle the WINDOW visibile or hidden itself. It would also help me if I could make a window active by using a key combo, for example pressing key x would bring up and show AND MAKE ACTIVE view window x. Then you could use hotkeys to decide which camera should be displayed in which window but the dfficult part for which I don't have a solution is to switch the focus to a certain window using a key.
