My first Conference this year...

Featured Replies

Just wanted to say I purchased the works via Paypal and CAN NOT WAIT!!! This is my first conference, most are a pretty signifcant haul but DC is easy for me coming from NJ. Anyone else from NY/NJ going, I am driving down...Anyone else signed up? Anyone else been before and want to share some experiences? I am looking forward to meeting others at the social and putting some faces with their names. What a great idea for the Friday night too. The ONLY problem is I have to leave my FS system at home to go... Hmmmm, high speed internet at the hotel and a few power strips and maybe I can bring her with LOL...Looking forward to meeting some fellow simmers there,-PaulPrimary RigLiquid CooledAMD FX-57 @ 3 gigsAsus A8NSLI-Premium2 gigs Corsair XMS PC3500LL 2 3 2 6 1TXFX 7900 GTX 690/1750XFX 7800 GTX 515/135024 inch Widescreen LCDDual 19 inch LCD'sRaid-0+1PCPower and Cooling 1khttp://home.comcast.net/~psolk/3monitorsa.htmlBackup RigAMD 4000 San Diego @ 2.72 Gigs Kingston Corsair XMS CL2XFX 7800 GTX 515/1350 Raid-0psolksig.jpg

I have been to three of the AVSIM conventions and I can say without hesitation that you will have a great deal of fun, learn a tremendous amount and meet some of the most kindness individuals in the world. You will enjoy it, don't worry. I am looking forward to my 4th and many more to come. Thanks once again to AVSIM for hosting it and those dedicated volunteers and sponsors for making this thing happen. I cannot wait.Charles Huckelbery

Paul, leave your rig at home. You will have plenty of systems in the exhibition hall flying FS-X. :)And, you will meet some of the greatest people in the hobby there, including Harley and his wife, all the way from Melbourne, Australia, folks from Europe, Taiwan, Hong Kong, South America, who knows where else. The AVSIM Convention is a meeting of the community that we are all part of and which AVSIM is proud to sponsor. You will not regret your participation, I can guaranteee it!

Chuck, you are making us blush! :)Looking forward to seeing you again this year, and catching up with you.

Tom:I am looking forward to see you again, although not living in Virgina, but back in California. See you there and say hello to your wife for me and my wife Marlene.Charles Huckelbery

Wow, I am really really excited, thanks for all the encouragement guys. At least everyone else there will be missing there systems too LOL It is like a built in support group :) I will also have a car that can seat 3 more comfortably so I am more than happy to shuttle some folks back and forth to the museum or airport or whatever. Four hours drive down to Dulles is like my own back yard by Northeastern standards LOL. If anyone needs anything from NYC (Like the best bagels in the world or one of those I heart NY t-shirts LOL) just let me know and I would love to bring something from my neck of the woods for others to experience. Just booked the Business Room for the extra $20 with the LCD TV LOL. Why not right...Can't wait to meet everyone,Thanks to Avsim and to MS for making all of this happen... Woo-Hoo!!!-Paul
