Replacing ATC

Featured Replies

As we know, the FS's ATC is poor (at least). The question is, is there any software for replace the game's ATC?Thnks

Yes Radar Contact. However if you are mostly vfr,go where you want, the default ATC does a good job. If you are into flight planning,IFR, structured flights and being closely monitored, Radar Contact is the way to go.I bought it and enjoyed doing the airline serious flying thing but found myself using it less and less and falling back on the more laid back default. Rc Is worthless for just vfr, sightseeing fun flying cause you have to have a flightplan.

I agree, I too purchased Radar Contact v4, and it is as real as it gets for on offline ATC. I highly recommend it. I use it when I am not on VATSIM (which isn't as often lately).

Their support forum is here on AVSIM. You can get an idea of what it does really well and some current limitations. Be sure to read posts about version updates for it and FSUIPC (included in the RC license).I have it and like it really well. It has been constantly improved since its inception a few years ago.
