April 28, 20188 yr The back half seems to have changed in color... lighter in fact. Seems ok in previous pics posted. The alphas or spec map has changed?
April 28, 20188 yr Author Moderator It was really frustrating. The existing shield layer was very dark but the nose segment was not aligned - you can see that in one of my early pics. So I figured I'd just replace the nose with my own. After lots of trial and error I was just unable to match the colors. I used the eyedrop tool to pick the color from the back portion but the nose was always too dark. Ultimately I created my own layer for both parts - I thought the darker black looked too harsh so I went for a lighter tone in both.
