April 21, 20188 yr Hi. I was planning on getting a moving map program, such as LittleNavMap,on a laptop to run along with my sim. Now I am wondering...if I'm using a GTN750 or similar, is there any real need for a separate moving map program? Are the separate moving map programs mainly useful for vintage (or any) aircraft that just don't support a GTN device? April 21, 20188 yr I also have both, little navmap and the GTN. I use little navmap mainly for planning purpose. For all planes that are no modern jets in fact (for them i use pfpx). The cool thing about little navmap is that you can export your flightplans also for the GTN and a bunch of other GPS modules, which makes pre-planning also on GPS fitted planes way better. On my vintage birds like the a2a conni I use it for planning my vor to vor routes and connect it only for the approach to simulate something like "radar". All in all, little navmap is one of the best tools out there and it is free, so just grab it and you will enjoy all its features. For example, you can use it also as a "checking tool" if you want to know how an airport looks in the sim without loading the sim, as it shows the afcads of the sim as graphic. Have fun!
